    Our Mold Making Services

    Custom Mold Design

Our design team works hand in hand with the clientele to develop molds that will suit the manufacturing needs. Aiming for precision detail in creating molds we utilize advanced CAD/CAM technology applications for high-quality mold production which leads to less material use in the production line.

    Material Recommendations

Taking material into consideration is therefore very important when designing a mold. When it comes to building up a subject matter on the types of materials that should be used, we advise based on factors such as durability, product application, and volume required for production to be effective within high-cycle productions in molds.

    High-Precision Machining

AMCO has been focusing on using its advanced Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining and Die-Casting, to provide molds that have the best finishes. At Larson Manufacturing we use very tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy which is important in industries that demand high precision and quality.

    3

    Testing & Validation

To be precise, each mold is tested and checked for its respective quality that meets the client’s demands and the production aim. Our validation procedure involves such steps as a durability test, stress test, and mold flow analysis to ensure optimal reliability.

Different Process Used for Mold Making

    Moulage par injection

It is the most common production method and uses high pressure to inject molten material, mostly plastics, into a mold. This technique can cause many parts to be made quicker with finer detail, which makes it suitable for the production of consumer electronics and medical utensils. It starts with melting the plastic in which vapor is generated, the melted plastic is then forced through the tiny gate at the base of the closed mold. It allows for low amounts of waste and is very accurate, suitable for large-scale production known as shot molding.

    6

    Blow Molding

It is a highly detailed process dealing exclusively with hollow plastic goods manufacturing. Dans cette méthode, a heated tube made of plastic material called parison is placed in a mold. Après cela, air contracts to make it blow up, and thereby adopt the mold cavity. After solidification, the mold is removed and the final product is pushed out. This process is most applicable in the manufacturing of bottles and containers because, through the process, lightweight and hollow Articles can be manufactured.

    Compression Molding

The process of compression molding starts by equally placing a calculated quantity of the material in a heated mold. The mold is closed, and pressure is applied, which makes the material fill the mold cavity electronically. This heat and pressure force the material to solidify and a particular part is ready as soon as the mold is opened. This method is suitable for thermosetting plastics and rubber products that find application in gaskets and seals for automobiles and planes.

    Rotational Molding

Rotational molding is carried out by heating a powdered plastic material that is loaded in a mold which is then rotated along two axes. While in rotation the powder melts and forms a layer on the surface of the mold and in the course of cooling, a hollow part is formed. This method is perfect for relatively large hollow products, Par exemple, water tanks and outdoor playground equipment. Rotational molding has provided designs and architectural advantages and allows for the production of articles with complicated cross-sectional shapes.

    Moulage sous pression

Die casting can be best described as an industrial technique that is employed in the production of some parts of various products, particularly those parts that are metallic. Dans ce processus, molten metal is directly fed into the mold cavity and exerts force inside it. : Once the metal has cooled and has set, the mold is opened and a finished part is produced. Another advantage of using die casting is that it is very suitable for large-volume production because of the time-saving aspect and also complex shapes with small tolerances.

    3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing

It helps construct molds according to the predetermined design successively. It is a useful tool to quickly make immediate prototypes and produce intricate shapes that cannot be easily made by hand. This method is especially valuable for small-batch production and special orders. Given its design, the tool can be used in many industries and sectors.

    Usinage CNC

CNC (Commande numérique par ordinateur) machining is an Accuracy innovative technology where through the use of computers, materials are systematically cut and shaved from a solid block to create molds. This method is distinguished by its capability to provide small tolerances and complex shapes. CNC machining is preferable in the aerospace and medical industries, where precision is paramount. Due to the flexible nature of CNC technology a variety of materials can be used.

    13

    Sand Casting

Among all the known casting types, it is the oldest and most demanded service even today. Dans cette méthode, a pattern is made in one of the sand mixtures, which then produces a mold. The molten metal is then transferred to the mold cavity. Then it solidifies into the required shape of the mold cavity. Sand casting indeed finds its uses in the production of very large metallic parts, c'est à dire. the engine block.

    Lost-Wax Casting

Lost-wax casting is a precast molding process that has a special advantage due to the details that it tends to provide. The process starts with a wax pattern coated with refractory material mold manufacturing. Once formed, the mold is allowed to harden and the wax is then melted and thus poured out creating a mold for molten metal. This method is very accurate and is most suitable for jewelry and arts.
